I bought two sets because I wanted to raise my bed up 3 inches and the bed has 5 posts. I ended up raising it only 2 inches and the two sets gave me the flexibility to do just that. The risers do not sit perfectly on carpet with higher pile, but have withstood much use without falling over at the 2 inch level, but did at the 3 inch level. I do not recommend stacking them more than two high on hile pile carpet.

I needed something that would raise the legs of my hi riser just a little bit so the underneath mattress ( a new thicker one) would be able to slide in and out . While leaving the bed stable and not changing the length too much that the dust ruffle would look silly. These worked great, are stable and you can barely tell they are there. If you didn’t know they were, I doubt you notice them at all.
